Andrea Keller, Tim Wilson and James Macaulay launch their new album ‘Outside In’. Recorded live at the Jazz Lab in 2019, the album features 7 original compositions, which are grounded in the jazz tradition, yet informed by contemporary ‘classical’ music, world music and the avant-garde

The Andrea Keller & Tim Wilson Duo was originally conceived in 2007 from a mutual respect and love for open, interactive music making, and a desire to create and explore original compositions and improvisations in an intimate duo format.

 Having first met when they were studying at Victorian College of the Arts, Tim and Andrea have been performing together for over 2 decades, in ensembles such as the Paul Williamson Sextet and the Bennetts Lane Big Band. ‘Outside In’ is their third release

 Their 2017 live album ‘Consider This’ won the Australian Jazz Bell Award for ‘Best Australian Instrumental Jazz Album’. 

Andrea is a 3 time Aria Award winner, recipient of the Freedman Fellowship and also an Australia Council Fellowship. Tim was a finalist in the 2006 World Saxophone Competition (BBC Jazz Festival in London), the 2009 National Jazz Awards, and runner up in the 2013 Taichung Saxophone Competition.
